# Account types

> Guest, Hobbyist and Enthusiast accounts on Kallax.io: what each one gets you. Hobbyist and Enthusiast are both free.

Kallax.io has three kinds of accounts. There are no ads and no paywalls: Hobbyist is free forever, and Enthusiast is pay what you want, even nothing.

## Guest

A guest account is a temporary account that doesn't need a login. You get one with a single click, for example to reply to an [event](/guides/events) invite.

* Guest accounts may be deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
* They can't be recovered if you log out or clear your browser data.
* Set a password at any time to turn it into a regular Hobbyist account.

You don't need any account to look around. Anyone can search games, browse communities, find events and search a shared collection or [profile](/guides/profile).

## Hobbyist

The free tier, with everything you need to collect, connect and play:

* Your whole collection, with BoardGameGeek import and barcode scanning.
* Friends, feed and chats.
* Game nights with date polls, play votes and hauling lists.
* One group or community, with room for 12 in a group.
* A page and a searchable library for your business.

## Enthusiast

For businesses, organizers and anyone who wants to support the platform. You get everything in Hobbyist, plus:

* [Kiosk mode](/enthusiast/kiosk-mode) for cafés, stores and bars.
* [Gaming groups](/guides/groups#members) of up to 50 members.
* More groups and communities to run.
* The data editor. See [Data editor](/enthusiast/data-editor).
* Profile customization. See [Customize your profile](/guides/profile#customize-your-profile).
* Overview modules on the communities you own. See [Customize your community](/enthusiast/community-page).
* Early access to new features.

  Enthusiast is pay what you want. Set the amount to zero and you still get every Enthusiast feature, with no countdown and no credit card needed. If you stop paying, you keep Enthusiast.
