# OpenAPI specification

> Use the Kallax.io REST API to search games, collections, events and communities. The OpenAPI specification is published at kallax.io.

Kallax.io has a public REST API that is described by an OpenAPI specification. Use it to build your own tools on top of Kallax.io data, or to give an AI assistant a way to call Kallax.io.

The API is **read-only** and only returns what anyone could see on Kallax.io without signing in. You don't need an account or an API key.

## Where to find the specification

The OpenAPI specification is available as JSON:

Import the address into any tool that understands OpenAPI, such as Postman, Insomnia or a code generator.

## Using the API

The API base address is `https://kallax.io`. Every endpoint returns JSON. The specification is always up to date, so it is the place to look for the available endpoints, parameters and responses.
